Redemption
Well.... Just when you think that maybe Whiteheart would settle down, they change again. Before Redemption came out, rumors were everywhere about Whiteheart breaking up. I ignored them all, but when I finally saw a picture of only three of them in Release magazine, I found that the rumors were true. I immediately went out and bought Redemption, expecting the worst. However, this didn't happen(thankfully). Redemption is perhaps the most thinking, feeling albumn that Whiteheart has ever produced. To me, it seemed like this entire albumn was Whiteheart's testimony in music. Most of the songs are soft and thought provoking, but there is still some rock for those who can't live without it(like me). The guitar work in Steel and Stone is kind of spooky, and the acoustic work in Love is Everything and Fall on Me is excellent. The only thing I missed on Redemption was the power of Brian Wooten's guitar. However, Redemption is far from the "last dying gasp" of Whiteheart as some have called it. It isn't clear if Whiteheart will ever do anything(I hope they do) again, but if Redemption is the "end", then it couldn't have been better. Thanks for the ride guys.... All in all, I give this album a 8.0 out of 10.
