Powerhouse
In 1989, Whiteheart produced the ground breaking album, Freedom. The style was totally different from anything else Whiteheart had ever done. Well, just one year later, they decided to change again. The biggest difference in Powerhouse bandwise is the exit of Gordon Kennedy, Tommy Sims, and Christ McHugh, and the addition of Brian Wooten, Anthony Sallee, and Mark Nemer. Brian Wooten brought a lot more power and energy to the lead guitar, not that Gordon Kennedy wasn't powerful too, but his style was different. Whiteheart became a much harder rock band with Powerhouse. With songs like the title track, I could tell that Whiteheart had become more of a hard level rock band then previously. While I do like loud music, I have to say that Freedom was far more creative then Powerhouse. However, Powerhouse did produce some absolute classics like Desert Rose and Love Calling. All in all, I give this album a 7.0 out of 10.
