Inside
Well, I don't know what it is, but Whiteheart's just loves to change. The last two albums, Tales of Wonder and Highlands, both had the same general sound and feel. This led me into a false sense of security into thinking that Inside would be the same thing. Inside leaves the polish and ambience behind, and instead embraces the raw power of rock music. It opens with the passionate title track, which sort of sets the stage for the rest of the albumn. However, the songs Dominate, Even the Hardest Heart, and You can't take what you don't have, steal the show. While I personally like the music from Highlands(and Tales of Wonder) better, Whiteheart has definitely improved in more ways then one. The vocals are powerful, the guitars are incredible(Inside solo rocked, as well as Dominate), and the drums were awesome(listen to the drum work in You can't take what you don't have). Ya know, with an albumn like Inside, maybe I can get used to all this change........ All in all, I give this album a 8.5 out of 10.
