Emergency Broadcast
I had often heard that Freedom was a dramatic change from Whiteheart's previous albums, but since I had never heard anything before Freedom, I didn't know just how big the change was. I have to say in all honesty, that Emergency Broadcast is one of my least favorites in my Whiteheart collection. Not that there isn't any really good songs, but some of the songs are really eighty-ish. That is totally understandable since the album was made in 1987, but I personally like the new music style that came out of Freedom. However, some of the songs on EB are really quite good. Songs like No Taboo, More Sold Out, Edge of the Dream, and Montana Sky are really quite excellent. Montana Sky is the best song on the album by far, and even today its a favorite among Whiteheart fans. All in all, I give this album a 6.5 out of 10.
